SO when I started this blog, I KNEW from day one that I would tell you guys all about this way to getting a little side money. I’ve told all of my friends over the past 3 years and out of all of those people only ONE knew about this before I did! INSANE!! So safe to say this is a little known couponing secret!
Over the past three years, I’ve gotten $143 from this company, which Yes I know does not sound like a lot, but here’s the thing you should know about me. I’m an off brand shopper. So if I had the choice between Pillsbury cinnamon rolls and Food Lion ones, 9 out of 10 times I’ll choose Food Lion. The only two things I REFUSE to buy off brand would be Toilet Paper and Peanut Butter lol! So I am confident that most of you will earn WAY more than I do with this program! The only time I get name brand is usually if I have a coupon.
What I love doing is getting the coupons all year long, not touching the account and then come Christmas putting the cash into my bank account and BOOM I have a 40-50$ present bought or what I did this past year was going and snag the movie deals on Thanksgiving (yes I shopped on turkey day…don’t judge me because when you’re broke you gotta do what you gotta do!lol). I got like 15 movies for under 40 bucks and am going to use those to fill the gaps in between the big gifts. So this was a real life saver especially with the tight holiday I know we are all feeling this year!
SO what is this glorious company I am telling you about? It’s called Savingstar.
The idea behind this is that you load coupons to your Food Lion, Rite Aid, Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods cards (many other stores on the list!) or you submit a receipt if you shop at a store that does not have a loyalty card such as Target or Walmart (you use an app or the website to submit a photo of the receipt). The money DOES NOT come off instantly at the register. It’s more like Ibotta, how you get it later in an account. So do know that.
Say you have $5 in coupons loaded and you go to the store, you get your items and check out. It can take anywhere from a few days to 2 months (I’ve seen this only twice in the 3 years I’ve been with them) to see the money deposited into your Savingstar Account. They are usually very fast on crediting your account and *if* you do need to email them on what’s up with your credit, they are so helpful.
The coupons run on anything from Pillsbury to Cereals (and what I love is that they run with deals so like this past week there was a BOGO on Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Nut Cheerios. Then you get $1 back on top of that! DEALS!!! *rubs hands together) to laundry detergents, body washes to Bushes Baked Beans. Sometimes they have a Free deal where you buy a Peppermint Patty or candy bar and get it all back. They also have a Healthy deal of the week so say you buy a bundle of apples (usually hand picked vs a premade bag) or whatever they want you to purchase, then you get like 20% back. So there are a lots of things to buy and get credit for!
Cash out is at $5 bucks so not that bad! You can get it in a few different ways: Paypal, Bank Deposit (I do this one and its usually in there in about 2 days for me), Upromise (college saving program I also do), Starbucks Gift Card or even by donating it to American Forests which plants 1 tree for every dollar donated!
I love this because this is a SUPER passive way for Moms doing what they already do best to get some money for the holidays! SO don’t let this pass you buy! Definitely sign up today and get those December Coupons! I already have $8 bucks for next years tally and every month when they come out with new ones, I totally stock up.
Ps: After you’re done signing up through this link, download the app on the phone for ability to make sure you have the coupons while at the store!
